Namco Collaborating On Next Super Smash Bros
Skulking away at the end of the Nintendo Direct conference yesterday was some news regarding one of the most anticipated Nintendo releases for both 3DS and Wii U; Super Smash Bros. Although sadly nothing was shown of the game, it was confirmed it has been in development ever since Kid Icarus: Uprising was finished, and some further info was shared regarding who will produce the game.
In an unprecedented move from Nintendo, they will share the creation duties of Super Smash Bros for the first time, with their “sometime” partners Namco Bandai. No strangers to the world of the beat-em-up, the developers will work with series maestro Masahiro Sakurai on the game.
Not much further regarding the new Smash Bros iteration was shared at this time, aside from confirming that individuals who have previously worked on the Tekken, Ridge Racer and ‘Tales’ series will all be contributing. Could we therefore be seeing Heihachi facing off against Mario and Link whenever the game is released? Stay tuned to ZoKnowsGaming as we continue to learn more about this.
