Not too long ago, we showed you a five-minute long well made live-action short titled ‘Enter The Metro’ for upcoming post-apocalyptic horror, Metro: Last Light. Well the guys at THQ have gone and released the “making of” Enter The Metro, giving fans of the game a little more to gawk at until it launches in early 2013.

The post nuclear attack was portrayed well in ‘Enter The Metro’

The original movie short gave us a glimpse into the bleak and oppressive world of what Metro: Last Light will portray. Showing an impending nuclear attack on mother Russia and the horrific aftermath, in which our protagonist will be fighting both humans and mutants.

‘Enter the Metro’ was filmed on location in Kyiv, Ukraine with a hefty cast of more than 150 actors and actresses, in the usual freezing cold temperatures of Eastern Europe. Combining live action with in-game visuals, the crew and cast involved, talk about how the short film came together. With ‘Enter the Metro’ telling the emotional story of the nuclear apocalypse that created the atomic Moscow wastelands of Metro: Last Light, I think they did a very good job portraying it.

Metro: Last Light is in development at 4A Games and is slated for an early 2013 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The making of ‘Enter The Metro’ video can be viewed below.

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
