Every now and then, a game is released that gains overwhelming reviews from every website and magazine, makes those who play it fall in love, and yet somehow sells hardly any copies. Luckily for us however, rather than forget about titles like Beyond Good and Evil and Okami, HD versions are now available so we can download at a cheap price and realize just how foolish we all were.
Okami HD has been confirmed by Capcom as being released in a few months time as a PS3 exclusive. The Zelda-type game was originally launched on the Wii before finding a second home on PS2, so the developers have taken advantage of the capabilities of the Move controller to move the game back to its motion sensing roots, although you can still play with a gamepad if you prefer. You can take your PlayStation Move motion controller and use it as your own Celestial Brush and naturally make brush strokes to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.
To top things off, Okami HD will support PS3 Trophies, (including a Platinum) giving you new challenges to face and feats to complete. Okami HD will be available for download exclusively on PS3 in North America and Europe this fall. Okami looked gorgeous the first time around, with an art style that was influenced by Japanese art, so it is no surprise to learn that an HD polish along with 16:9 presentation has done nothing but make the game look even tastier. You can check it out for yourself below, and buy it from PSN this Fall, for €19.99/£15.99, no price for the US version yet.
