Nintendo Has No Plans To Put Anti-Used Game Features In The Wii U
Nintendo has no plans regarding pre-owned game prevention in Wii U, as revealed by Nintendo of America EVP of sales and marketing Scott Moffitt. In the interview, he said that, despite not being sure that Nintendo had “a formal position on used game sales”, he continued to say that “It is a reality in the marketplace.” Following this, he simply stated the following in the interview:
“We haven’t incorporated any features that will discourage used game sales at this point. We’re not trying to circumvent that”.
With all of this talk that some consoles may have built-in features to discourage used game sales, it is rather refreshing to see a company even take complete indifference on it.
