One delay of a game is enough to make developers a gamers’ worst enemy, but more than that and you will have people sticking needles into voodoo dolls out of anger, that could be the case for Platinum Games as Sega announced recently that Anarchy Reigns has once again hit a speed bump with North American and European releases being pushed to Q1 2013.
Anarchy Reigns is an online based beat ’em up in development at Platinum Games, in which players control one of various types of fighters as they use extravagant moves to defeat their opponents. With many multiplayer modes and well known voice actors, both Japanese and English casted, Anarchy Reigns looks like a good sell.
Platinum Games took to Twitter to explain the situation, replying to a tweet from a fan saying, “Today, we have a clearer idea of when Sega plans to release Anarchy Reigns in the West.” Sega America also replied on Twitter to the dismay of fans, saying:
The release of Anarchy Reigns has been re-evaluated. We now expect to launch in Europe and America in Q1 of 2013.
What will be on everyone’s mind is if the game can stop itself from being delayed again, with no reason for the delay provided, it could have been any reason for the set back. Japanese gamers fear not however, the release date of July 5th is still on schedule and will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
