THQ Won’t Cut Any More Development Teams Says Rubin
Despite the Udraw’s financial collapse and the year-defining financial crisis, Jason Rubin, the new THQ president, states that company won’t have to cut any more teams. Simply put, the president stated in a Joystiq interview that ”[THQ has] the appropriate number of teams and the appropriate number of people working on products, and we’re not gonna be continuing to cut teams.”
With that said, from the perspective of certain games, Rubin seems far less confident.
Not only did he state that “everything is up for change to make the best product that could be”, but he further suggests that THQ may need to re-evaluate what needs to gain a proper focus from the company, maybe even opposed to what doesn’t.
“I have to go around and look at everything over the next few weeks, next month, and I have to then decide which of the titles are the titles we’re gonna focus on based on what I believe our future should be,” Rubin said.
