Steve Wozniak has never been afraid of telling you what he thought of a product. Even if it’s Apple, the company that he co-founded, Woz has always been willing to speak his mind. Most recently, he told Times Union that Siri was much better before it got stripped down by Apple for iOS. He states his reactions about Siri when it was just an app on the iPhone, “I started telling everyone I knew and speaking around the world about how this was the future of computing, speaking things in normal ways, feeling like you’re talking to a human.”
Unfortunately, as it’s implied by Woz, a lot has changed with the Apple acquisition. He states how before the acquisition, Siri could list out prime numbers greater than 87, but has since lost that ability. Whether or not this is “nitpicking” could be debated. However, Woz does point out that this type of technology on all platforms will be the future.
