It seems that details on several elements about Call of Duty: Black Ops 2‘s multiplayer have been leaked. We are several months away from the game’s release so take this with a grain of salt. According to a user who posted on NeoGAF, Treyarch has made some significant updates to multiplayer in Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. According to the poster Call OF Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer will feature:
- 10 point allocation system replaces primary/secondary/grenades slot system
- Guns, attachments, equipment, perks take up allocation points – for example you could have 2 primary weapons which would use most of your points and only have 1 perk – Or No guns but lots of perks, so you could get a knife kill, steal a gun and make good on all the perks you choose.
- New wager match variations.
- Everyone starts with a machine pistol and 1 EMP grenade, you have to disable and hack drones to get more kills, only way to get more EMP grenades is to take them from another player.
If true these represent massive changes to Call Of Duty’s multiplayer, they could definitely create some interesting combat situations. The custom loadout combinations would be massive and would definitely be a truly unique addition to gameplay. Whether or not players would respond to the new change I’m not sure. As we said these are still rumors, but hit up the comments and let us know what you think of these new multiplayer features.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II hits store shelves on November 13th, 2012.
