Ubisoft showed off a LOT of great titles during E3, but there was one that was noticeably absent and that is Rainbow Six: Patriots. When Ubisoft announced the game was in development they wowed us with an awesome trailer, but since then its been pretty much crickets. Then E3 and came and went with nothing about the game and people started to get worried. But everyone can just calm down because Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six: Patriots is still in development at Ubisoft Montreal.
With all the other games they wanted to highlight like Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3, and the newly unveiled Watch Dogs it didn’t feel like the right time to show new stuff from the shooter. Ubisoft marketing VP Tony Key said:
“Let’s just say that Rainbow 6 is still in active development but what we decided was that the best thing for the brand was to not bring it to the show right now.”
He went on to say that we should be hearing more about Patriots over the coming months and debunked rumors that the game had been turned into a next-title saying, “This is the only generation [PS3/360] that I know about, so I would assume yes.”
Rainbow Six: Patriots is set to launch sometime in 2013.
