Many of you might remember a huge spectacle Activsion put on last year in LA called Call Of Duty XP. The event was called the Call of Duty Experience (Call of Duty: XP) and it featured live music from Kanye West, paintball, a $1 million gaming tournament, Jeep off-loading, and a full-scale model of Burger Town from Modern Warfare 2. It had it all, it was epic and it won’t be happening this year. In an official statement to Polygon they said:

“Each year we try to surprise and delight our fans and this year we are planning to host some new experiences for our fans around the globe including at Gamescom later this summer in Cologne, Germany. While its possible we may host another XP in the future, we don’t have plans to hold the event this year.”

I guess we will have to see what they do for Gamescom, we’ll have folks on site so we should have great stuff for you on that. So there you have it folks, no XP event this year but in the meantime you can reminisce with this sweet video from the last one.
