The Angry Birds franchise is constantly growing and growing, those wingless birds have captured the hearts of many children and adults alike. With Rovio’s strategy puzzle game hitting the amazing milestone of over a billion downloads just last month, it makes sense to bring the angry little devils to consoles and better, in high-definition. I know Angry Birds has come to consoles before but never as a built from the ground up version.
According to IGN, during a teaser reel at the Activision E3 booth, that repeats every 40 minutes for all the upcoming games to be released, it revealed an angry bird flying towards the Activision logo. Seeing this would make it more than obvious Activision would be the publisher behind the console port and when asked an Activision spokesperson said:
Look for an announcement in the next few weeks, wait till you guys see it on consoles in HD.
It’s an exciting concept, myself like many others, play Angry Birds wherever it’s possible to play it, be it on your phone, Facebook or iPad, the list goes on. In what way will they change it up for consoles? On whether it will be a disc based game or downloadable, the jury is still out on that. We do know one thing, it will be welcomed with open wings, I mean arms.
