Xbox 360 gamers have yet another game to which the DLC will launch on their console first and this time it is Capcom’s upcoming action/survival horror game, Resident Evil 6. This joins Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and the new Tomb Raider reboot in making PlayStation 3 gamers wait for the DLC in a similar way that Call of Duty franchise has done with the various downloadable map packs that they offer. The game is scheduled to launch on October 2nd 2012.
Resident Evil 6 was shown off at E3 this week and looked at first glance to be an improvement over the disappointing Resident Evil 5. However, my main annoyance is with one console getting DLC before another. I believe that all consoles concerned should get downloadable content at the same time otherwise you are punishing a certain part of your fan base for having the temerity to buy one console over another.
