Get ready wizards of the card game world as, Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 has conjured itself a release date, the video game based on the popular collectible card game of the same name will land on virtual shelves June 20th for Xbox, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and iOS.

Duels of the Planeswalkers lets players simulate the Magic: The Gathering trading card game through lush interactive 3-D environments. The arcade-style game takes players on a journey through a vast Multiverse of unique worlds where they are deemed Planeswalkers, powerful mages who battle others for glory, knowledge and conquest.

The newest digital edition of the card game will be published by Wizards of the Coast. In the game we can expect 10 all new decks, including new cards from Magic: The Gathering’s 2013 core set and a new legendary boss challenge against the dreaded Nicol Bolas, a dragon that is super scary and will get all up in your face, so watch out!

The game will feature both multiplayer and single player, with the multiplayer getting a few upgrades and the introduction of “puzzling challenges” and new game mode “Planechase”, designed for three or more players. While the Single player will offer the usual challenges and encounters. Those who haven’t a notion how to play the game will be happy to see an easy in-game tutorial, which will get you on your way.

DOTP 2013 will be available on iPad, PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live Arcade, with the ability to pre-order on Steam now.
