Splinter Cell Blacklist Getting An E3 Reveal? [RUMOR]

Grab your night vision goggles, suppressed FN Five-Seven pistol and sticky shockers, as rumors suggest publisher and developer Ubisoft will announce the next chapter in the Splinter Cell series at E3 2012. The stealth action adventure called “Splinter Cell Blacklist” will be a direct sequel to previous title Conviction, with a release date in early 2013. With the first game of the franchise released back in 2002, it has made a large following over the years and could be one of the big hitters for Ubisoft at this year’s expo.

According to a post on the NeoGaf forums by a user named Blitz, him/ her saw a promo for the game and stated that long-time protagonist Sam Fisher is looking good as always with no grey hair, full body suit, his mighty night vision goggles and a serious look on his face. From experience I can say that’s a far accurate description of the Tom Clancy legend. Blitz also stated that the “plot will based on his enemies targeted as Blacklist” and a “Limited Edition will soon be ready for pre-order.”

E3 is shaping up nicely for Ubisoft, with Vita titles Assassins Creed: Liberation and Ghost Recon: Final Mission  rumored to make an appearance, Rayman and Rainbow 6: Patriots expected to appear, confirming a new Splinter Cell game will only entice fans even more. Ubisoft recently predicted that their E3 conference will be “enormous” and “off the charts”, Blacklist might be that statement’s knight in shining armor.

It’s all speculation until solid information comes through from E3 though. So eyes open people, this one is definitely a biggie!

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
