Those who like their gaming on the big stage can do so now with the top of the range FUS1ON Tournament Controller made by the guys at PowerA, which is set to release later in the year. Similar in design to the Xbox 360 controller, but with a PS3 version available, the FUS10N has a set of features that set it apart from the rest of the competition.

The controller visually looks both stylish and easy to use, with slick colored luxurious thumbsticks taking up centre-stage. The PlayStation version of the controller, keeps the Xbox shape but with the PlayStation button layout. John Moore, vice president of product development and marketing for PowerA said:

We worked alongside pro gamers from the beginning of the development process to get real-life insights into design, aesthetics and play control. After extensive testing and rounds of refinement on each individual element, we designed a brand-new, best-in-class controller from the ground up. With the PowerA FUS1ON Tournament Controller, every gamer can now have that competitive edge.

Key features of this controller include:

  • Analog Control: Finely tuned analog modules offer improved response and accuracy.
  • Custom Analog Stick Design: Engineered to eliminate thumb fatigue during extended play.
  • Precision D-Pad: Pro gamer inspired design for precise 8-way control.
  • Durable Action Buttons: Extensive testing and high quality materials for improved accuracy and longevity.
  • Multi-Color Illumination: Controller accents and analog sticks feature multi-color illumination effects.
  • Interchangeable Grips: Two sets of interchangeable ergonomic grips – Soft Touch and Matte – offer multiple styles of comfort.
  • Braided 9.8 Foot Cord: Wired for regulation tournament play; stay competitive and avoid latency.
  • Protective Travel Case: Stores and protects the FUS1ON Tournament Controller while gamers light up the gaming circuit.

The FUS1ON Tournament Controller represents the top-of-the-line offering from PowerA and will only be showing the controller by appointment at E3. The controller will be available for retail later this year and will be priced under $100, so start saving up that cash. Check out the awesome gallery dedicated to the controller below.

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
