Even though all signs indicate that Apple will part ways with Google’s Map application, the search giant is still working hard at bringing innovative ideas to the service. Looking ahead, today Google sent out invites for an event on June 6th for the world to see “The Next Dimension Of Google Maps.”
At this invitation-only press gathering, Brian McClendon, VP of Google Maps and Google Earth, will give you a behind-the-scenes look at Google Maps and share our vision. We’ll also demo some of the newest technology and provide a sneak peek at upcoming features that will help people get where they want to go – both physically and virtually. We hope to see you there.
I guess we should give Kudos to Google for jumping ahead of Apple’s WWDC event, which should be the platform where Apple’s new Map service will be announced.
