Blizzard has confirmed that it is delaying the launch of its real money auction house for Diablo III. It was originally scheduled to launch this past Tuesday and then they slid it back to May 29 and now it is essentially delayed indefinitely. Via the forum post, Blizzard said:
“In light of the post-launch obstacles we’ve encountered, we have made the decision to move the launch of the real-money auction house beyond the previously estimated May time frame.”
At this point, this means that the real money auction house won’t launch until at least June if not later. Blizzard did say that they will have more information soon, whenever that is. They also went on to discuss a number of post-launch issues players have encountered with Diablo III, specifically the hacking of accounts and performance issues.
