Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was announced at last year’s E3 and was to be heading to PS3 late this year or possibly early 2013. That news was enough to send some fanboys into a tizzy, without the extra info that was confirmed on TV show GTTV recently, that the game will also be released on the Vita.
Taking full advantage of the capabilities of the handheld, including sixaxis control and front and rear touch action, the title will also allow for cross-play with the PS3 version, allowing you to save your game in the cloud and continue at your leisure.
Although this is undoubtedly great news, and further confirmation (if any were needed) of the power of the Vita, I am still unconvinced that anyone would shell out on two copies of the same game. It works really well with smaller games like Motorstorm: RC, and the upcoming Doctor Who PSN game, Eternity Clock, which will also utilize the feature, but I’m not sure a $50 – $60 full-price game would work as well. Perhaps a discount voucher code should apply when you buy one copy, to enable you to pick up the other version for half-price? Just a though! Anyhow, here is the vita trailer for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for Playstation Vita – Enjoy!
