Zen Pinball 2 And The Avengers Hitting PS3 + Vita Soon [TRAILER]

The world seems to have gone Avengers crazy right now, with the film raking in mega-bucks at theatres everywhere, with conversations from playgrounds to office water coolers centring around the likes of Thor and Hulk. I have shamefully yet to see the film (too many amazing films out this year to keep up with, I may have to wait for the blu-ray!) but I am very excited for the Pinball version of Earth’s mightiest heroes to be released, and we can bring you a trailer for one of those tables today.

In total, 4 pinball tables will be released under the ‘Marvel Pinball’ banner, with the trailer above showcasing the table based on the movie iteration. The package will also include tables based on Infinity Gauntlet, World War Hulk and Fear Itself.

As it stands at the moment, everything is quite confusing on the PlayStation version of Zen’s pinball tables. Although the Xbox 360 version of all the tables are accessed through the Zen Pinball 2 platform, the PS3 has only been provided with the Marvel licensed tables, within Marvel Pinball. From the date that the Avengers Chronicles pack is released however things should get a lot simpler (phew!) with the Zen Pinball 2 title available for both PS3 and Vita. Once you download this platform all of the tables you may already own for Marvel Pinball will be imported to the Zen Pinball 2 platform and new (non-marvel) tables will also be available to download. Glad we got that cleared up! In other good news all the tables you purchase will be cross-compatible with the Vita.

Now seems to be a very good time to be a PlayStation owning pinball fan. As well as the Avengers Chronicles pack and Zen Pinball 2 coming to your favorite consoles, Pinball Arcade is already available (at least in the US, I’m still waiting for it here in Blighty!) Personally I’m a sucker for a bit of high score action and cant wait to get stuck into all these titles, especially on the Vita which almost seems designed to play these games. What do you guys think?
