For folks who  want to say that Call Of Duty’s reign is over, not so fast. Amazon UK has revealed that Day 1 pre-orders for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 were 3 times higher than the original Black Ops. The anticipation on our side of the pond is even higher with Amazon US reporting that Day 1 pre-orders for Black Ops 2 were 10 times higher than for the original Black Ops and 30% higher than for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 3 currently holds the record for most pre-ordered game of all time, but if Black Ops 2 keeps it up then it won’t be for long.

Just in case you forgot, this kind of response should mean a lot of cash for Activision with Modern Warfare 3 grossing over $775 million dollars worldwide in its first 5 days. At this rate, Black Ops 2 might just do a billion in its first 5 days. Stay tuned folks, this will only get more interesting.
