Verizon Wireless Announces New Prepaid Plans, Coming May 1st

Today Verizon Wireless announced their new prepaid plans, which will offer unlimited talk and text messaging, with 1 GB of data for only $80 each month. The announcement, which has been rumored for some time now, should come as good news for those wanting to get out of the grips of Verizon’s contracts. More importantly, we don’t have that much longer to wait as the new plans officially roll out on May 1st.

Additionally, customers can now take advantage of Verizon’s new prepaid Mobile Broadband plans. According to the press release, “With the prepaid Jetpack, customers can now create a personal Wi-Fi cloud capable of sharing the high-speed Internet connectivity of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices simultaneously. Prepaid 4G LTE Mobile Broadband plans are as follows:

  • $15 for 250 MB of data weekly
  • $60 for 3 GB of data monthly
  • $90 for 10 GB of data monthly”
