Google Increases Gmail’s Free Storage To 10GB … ‘And Counting’

Share And Comment

Today Gmail got a big bump in free storage – going from 7.5GB of free storage to 10GB of free storage. This 25% increase represents just how fast the “and counting” number has been moving since 2004, when Google introduced Gmail with just 1GB of free storage.

Here’s exactly how Nicholas Behrens, a Software Engineer at Google says it,

Today, we’re happy to announce that we’re increasing everyone’s free storage in Gmail from 7.5 GB to 10 GB (and counting) to celebrate today’s launch of Google Drive. The increase will take effect over the next 24 hours. We hope you all enjoy the little bump!

So there you have it ‘Gmailers” – more space all over the place at Google. Any thoughts?
