Crysis 3 Accidentally Confirmed By EA, Official Announcement April 16th

All indications point to Crysis 3 being in development and an official announcement coming very shortly. This time around it appears it isn’t some random retailer that accidentally let the cat out of the bag, nope this time it appears that EA did it to themselves. Tons of information about Crysis 3 appeared on EA’s Origin service (since removed)  ahead of its expected reveal in Game Reactor magazine. We also got our hands on what appears to the be the lead image for the game that finds the hero (Alcatraz we assume), holding some sort of bow in front of a city style background. This has already led to fans expressing disappoint about the possibility of another romp through the concrete jungle of New York or some other city over a return to the series vivid tropical jungle roots.

In the initial listing that you will see below, you will notice that there is no PS3 version shown which initially lead some to think that the PS3 wouldn’t be getting the game but that has since been disapproved and it appears the game will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

EA has now released a short official statement saying:

The best kept secret in shooters just can’t be contained. Stay tuned for more information on April 16th.

Until then, what do you think? Hit up the comments and let us know.
