Disney’s Epic Mickey franchise has another title in the works but this time for the Nintendo 3DS making Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, the first title of the series on the 3DS. Players will have the new ability to draw objects and characters and have them rendered in the game’s art style to be added to the Wasteland game world.
Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion nods to the Sega Genesis title “Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse” and also brings back the original villainess Mizrabel. Playing as Mickey, equipped with paint and thinner, you will attempt to stop Mizrabel from escaping and taking down current famous Toons in the process.
“We’re honored to be able to pay tribute to this classic video game by creating a title that truly takes advantage of the unique capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS, putting the magic of Disney and the historic Castle of Illusion in the palm of your hands.” says Warren Spector, the Vice President and Creative Director of Junction Point.
The game is slated for a Fall 2012 release and developer DreamRift will collaborate with Disney Interactive ‘s Junction Point to bring this intriguing title to the 3DS.
