OK guys, it must have been – several hours at least – since the last next-gen console rumor, so here is another one if you are starting to get withdrawal symptoms. Apparently the PS4 will be available in shops before the rumoured Holiday 2013 release of the next Xbox.
The latest rumblings come courtesy of VG247, whose sources have mentioned that not only is Sony “Confident” that their system will beat their competitor to the market, but also that select developers are being invited to events in May and June this year to see the PS4 at work.
Allegedly some developers working with publishers like Ubisoft have already started work on games, meaning that surely Assassins Creed 4 is a shoe-in for launch? Well, that and some crappy Asphalt game probably. As always take these rumors with an entire salt-shaker, but if they are true then I can’t believe Sony would hold back on announcing something at least during E3. Their source actually commented that; “Sony is completely in the belief that they have the jump on Microsoft this time. You should be watching the timing of next year’s E3 keynotes, and who’s going to go first.” Watch this space.
