If this sounds familiar, you are not alone as reports of PSN connection issues restricting people from accessing the PlayStation Store, playing online, adding money to your PSN wallet or just plain being able to log in continue to mount. The effected users seem to be getting multiple error codes including 8071053D, 80710092, and 80023102. Twitter is going crazy with people complaining about the issue and at this point it’s not known what may be causing the issue, though Sony is aware and working it. The 8071053D normally corresponds to a power issue with the PS3 that requires a hard reboot, but this is happening at such a volume that it doesn’t appear that normal constraints are applying. If you aren’t getting the errors consider yourself lucky.
It doesn’t appear to be any single explanation for the issue right now, so stay tuned and we will keep you up to date. In the meantime, if you have experienced the problem hit up the comments and let us know. Also, if you have found a way around any of these please share that in the comments.
