It is always admirable when a company like BioWare takes the initiative to be interactive with their fans. Through the Official forums, Twitter and Facebook, fans can relay their true thoughts on the Dragon Age brand and that is very encouraging. Want to confess in the flesh? They will also be at conventions and gatherings like PAX and would love to hear your thoughts at the meetings. The future of Dragon Age is a very hot topic with the minds at BioWare, with that being said they are no longer putting energy into Dragon Age 2. Consider it done. Fin. Is that really a bad thing? I have always agreed with progressive thinking.
Mark Durrah explains on the BioWare forums about their decision in a heart-felt shout out for the support and some details about the future.
“while we will still be keeping an eye out for any issues that might crop up in DAII and supporting the community should any emergencies should arise, we’re moving the entire team’s focus to the next phase of Dragon Age’s future.”
While this is an end of sorts, it is also a beginning of something beautiful. Their active search for feedback for Dragon Age 3 can spark a great relationships between developers and gamers.
