Valve has announced that Counter Strike: Global Offensive has been delayed until this summer. We were initially expecting the game this spring but it seems that Valve needed more time to work out the kinks. Valve always does it big and they never drop a game before its ready so there is no reason that they would start that now. They pushed Portal 2 back a few weeks when it wasn’t ready and look how awesome that turned out. I can’t say that this is the best news after PlayStation gamers were already disappointed after they learned that cross-platform play had been dropped and that now it will only be limited to PC and Mac players. I suppose that it was too much to hope for in the first place.
If this was any other developer I would be worried, but Valve hasn’t disappointed us yet and if pulling cross-platform play and delaying the game was necessary to deliver the highest quality product then I’m all for it. I for one still have high hopes for Counter Strike Global Offensive.
