Today Tim Cook took the stage and announced the all new iPad. No surprises really – Retina Display, an improved 5MP rear camera, a faster dual-core Apple A5X processor, and finally, 4G LTE connectivity. While many see this as solid improvements year over year, others see it as a predictor of what the iPhone 5 will have at launch. And that my friends is 4G LTE.
Yes we all pretty much know that the next iPhone will have 4G LTE, but the fact that it’s in the new iPad, makes it almost a confirmed conclusion. Honestly, I’m not too excited about the new iPad (even though I may buy one), but 4G LTE and whatever else improvements the iPhone 5 will have does the job. A bigger screen would be nice, but I’m just not as sure of it as I am about 4G LTE. As always, hopefully we don’t have much longer before we find out.
