I’m currently loving my PlayStation Vita, and I promise I’m working through the games to bring you the first ZoKnowsGaming reviews shortly. Aside from Street Fighter X Tekken and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection however, there doesn’t seem to be too many games heading in the direction of the handheld powerhouse. Summer is promising us Gravity Rush and Resistance: Burning Skies but beyond that is just a sea of maybe games, like Killzone, Call of Duty and Bioshock.
Don’t be disheartened though, as Sony has heard the beginnings of your cries of anguish. If you can recall back to before the launch, they always promised to have a steady stream of quality games for the Vita, and next week may bring us the first solid information on that plan.
March 9th is bringing a PlayStation webcast out of Japan entitled ‘Welcome! PlayStation Game Heaven’ which sounds like just my kind of afterlife. According to website Andriasang it will bring with it information about new Vita games and services. Just one week from today we could have solid info about some Triple A Vita games, although it sounds like the webcast will be pretty Japan centric, so don’t be expecting much Bioshock or Killzone news for example. It would be nice to hear something about the Final Fantasy X remake heading Vita’s way though, and if something isn’t mentioned regarding Monster Hunter then Sony Japan will really have missed a trick!
The webcast will go live at 8pm Tokyo time on the 9th March, that makes it 6am eastern, 3am Pacific and a much more manageable 12pm GMT. Looks like I’ll be bringing you the news then…
