In the haze of PlayStation Vita launch excitement, you may be forgiven for forgetting that there are some very exciting titles for other formats on their way, first and foremost Mass Effect 3. In news released through the PlayStation Blog it has been announced that pre-ordering the PS3 version of the game through the PSN store will entitle you to some juicy pre-order bonuses.
The first extra is a new weapon for the game, the M55 Argus rifle. Described as being an excellent close-range weapon (odd for a rifle, but hey – it’s the future) the Argus is apparently being adopted by galaxy wide law enforcement agencies. In the game obviously. Secondly, will be a new theme for your PS3, with a choice of male or female Shepherd and showing the devastated Earth that you will be fighting for when the game launches.
No price has been announced at time of press, so lets just hope its more reasonable than when Mass Effect 2 was launched and the PSN version was a good 25% more expensive than the majority of retail deals. If the price is right then these extras could be a nicer incentive to grab a digital copy. Who’s going the digital route for Mass Effect 3?
