Every since EA announced that they were rebooting their SSX franchise, folks have been to see what the game has in store. Through several videos that EA has released, we got a chance to see how fun the game looks but those were only videos. We now know when we will get to play the game’s demo and decide how good it is for ourselves. The SSX demo will hit PSN and Xbox Live on February 21st or this Tuesday if you wanted to be more specific. The demo will only feature Zoe as a selectable character, but you can unlock Mac if you refer the demo to your friends. The demo will feature four events and two tutorials (Skyboarding and Ground).
In North America the game will also feature exclusive content in the form of Mount Fuji which will have six unique event drops: three race drops and three trick drops. The demo will also be on RiderNet (the in-game network like NFS Autolog) enabled which means that race times, trick scores, and “ghosts” will be uploaded to the servers. My only issue with the demo is that it comes so late, the game looks like it could be a real winner and I would have thought that EA would have wanted to get this in front of gamers as early as possible to convert the younger gamers who aren’t familiar with the franchise. Either way though, we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Who’s excited about SSX, are you downloading the demo? SSX releases for PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 28th in North America and March 2nd in other territories.
