Jeremy Lin Gets Another Ratings Boost In Latest NBA 2K12 Roster Update

Last night Jeremy Lin suffered his first defeat since taking the New York on a 7 game winning streak and to be honest that was to be expected. While its obvious now that Lin is no fluke, to maintain that level of play indefinitely just wasn’t going to happen. In a roster update earlier this week Jeremy Lin got a rating bump up to a 69 overall. At the time lots of folks thought that was to low and they may have had a point. With his ratings being that low people complained that it just wasn’t possible to do the kind of things he was doing in real life with those ratings.

NBA 2K12 is slowly but surely getting this roster update thing together, though we are almost halfway through a shortened NBA season and they aren’t quite there and may not get there with this game. But all is not lost, 2K Sports has released another roster update that now has Lin coming in at a very respectable 75 overall. His 3PT rating jumped 15 points from 55 to 70 which where most of the increase comes from. I think that 75 is pretty much where Lin should be and while he may improve a bit more he shouldn’t be rated over 80, at least not if we don’t get a lot of other comparable players getting boost too.

On the same note, he should not be overly penalized every time he has a bad game. I think he is pretty much where he should be now and while he may slide one to two points in either direction anything more than that would be unfair. But that’s just me, what do you think about Lin’s new rating? Too high, too low, or just right.
