Assassin’s Creed 3 Finally Confirmed, October 30th Release Date Announced

This is something that folks have known or at least hoped was true for quite some time. Ubisoft top dog Yves Guillemot finally confirmed it saying “Assassin’s Creed 3 is the true next generation of both the Assassin’s Creed brand and interactive entertainment/storytelling in general.” What that mean’s we have no idea but it sounds good. AC3 has been a long time in the making, with both Brotherhood and Revelations being thrown in between, for a while it seemed like Ubisoft just didn’t want to make it for some reason. Guillemot went on to say that Assassin’s Creed 3 will have the biggest budget of any game so far in the franchise and that they expect it to easily outdo Revelations 7 million copies sold. The really good news is that the game has apparently been in development for three years, which should be more than enough time to make this the most dynamic and robust AC to date.

And just when folks thought Guillemot was in a sharing mood, he just stopped talking about it besides saying that we will hear more about the game in the coming months. At this point, it’s a pretty good assumption that Ezio won’t be starring in this one as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations was supposed to bring his trilogy to an end. It would also seem that Assassin’s Creed 3 will bring the current story arc to a close but with Ubi you just never know. Ok that’s it, seriously that’s all we got but stay tuned and as soon as we know more we will have it for you right here.
