Amazon appears ready to make their move in capturing the majority of the tablet market. And if reports about a 10-inch Kindle Fire prove to be true, it may happen sooner than we all think. According to China Times, suppliers have already hinted at a 10-inch device as Amazon’s next tablet. More importantly, suppliers that include, Quanta and Foxconn, are already gearing up to produce the tablet in May or June, which would be in time for a launch by the end of the second quarter.
If Amazon made this move, would you be interested in the larger device? The report states that Amazon wants to lower manufacturing costs, and by doing so will select the parts for the device. Could this be a situation where lesser spec parts are installed for a cheaper tablet? No one knows for sure. However, price will always be a major selling point, and as I’ve said before, Amazon gets that. But will you get this tablet if it launches? Let us know!
