NFL Blitz Heads Up January PSN Sales, Who Knew?

Sony has released their PSN store sales figures for January, and sports titles are at the head of the pack. NFL Blitz by EA tops the chart, followed by NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. The inFamous standalone DLC Festival of Blood also did very well, clocking in at number 4.

Other heavy hitters for January include Sonic CD and the Mortal Kombat Kollection, with old favorites like Battlefield 1943 and Castle Crashers continuing to fill out the bottom half of the top 20. In terms of DLC, suprising nobody is the fact that the Battlefield 3 add-on, Back to Karkand has the most number of downloads, with both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 DLC trailing behind.

Final Fantasy continues to rule the roost in the PSOne classic charts, no doubt thanks to an extremely tempting sale in the latter half of January. The fan favorite Final Fantasy VII was the most purchased PSOne game for the month, with the SNES classic Final Fantasy VI in the number two spot. In fact every game in the top 5 was a Final Fantasy title aside from Chrono Chross at number 4. It seems like there are a lot of RPG fans out there!

Did you purchase many digital titles last month? If so are your favorites on the list?
