For all intents and purposes, Call Of Duty: Elite is an overwhelming success but that doesn’t mean that Activision isn’t working hard to make it even better. The service did get off to a bit of a rocky start but at this point it is firmly entrenched and for the most part running smoothly. During an earnings call a few days ago, the publisher had this to say about their latest cash cow.
“We’re already hard at work on Elite 2.0, with several innovative features being developed to work hand-in-hand with our new Call of Duty release”
Current Call Of Duty: Elite subscribers aren’t to be left out though as Activision revealed plans to launch “additional features in the next 60 days” for the current Elite platform. The publisher didn’t go into any further detail but it definitely looks like Activision is prepping for a major upgrade to the service to go along with the release of what will be the ninth installment in the Call Of Duty franchise. The next game is apparently already well underway with the publisher saying that the next Call Of Duty is “already looking fantastic”. I can’t wait to see what the publisher comes up with next for the service, the only downside is that PS3 and PC gamers will still have to suffer through at least one more year of delayed DLC.
