To say that Amazon’s Kindle Fire is a success, would be an understatement. Amazon entered a market previously thought impenetrable, and came out near the top. So naturally, to follow up with that success, the online retail giant has plans to release an updated version of its’ current Kindle Fire Tablet, and a new 8.9-inch tablet, with both scheduled to be launched this year. This all comes from a recent report by Pacific Crest analyst Chad Bartley, in which he stated “We believe there is an upward bias, particularly from the new 7- and 9-inch models, which we expect to launch in mid-2012”.
If Amazon can pull this off successfully, Apple may have a lot more to worry about than we all initially thought. The one thing Amazon has on its’ side is price. The willingness to make products affordable for the average buyer is key, and Amazon gets that. The only question I’m wondering is, How many of you are planning on upgrading or purchasing one of the newer versions whenever they are launched? Let us know!
