For fans of the Hitman franchise (I’m a huge one), this may be good or bad news, but it seems that Hitman: Absolution will have more dialogue than any of its predecessors. Personally, as long as it doesn’t affect the flow of the game I don’t mind the extra wordiness. According to developer IO Interactive, every character will have a “distinct” personality. According to the developer, every guard and bystander in the game will have their own name and “identity”, whatever that means.
The devs said they have 2000 pages of script for the A.I. alone and how they can fit in will come down to logistics and memory. With the resource constraints on the Xbox 360, the game will probably see less content than if it was a PS3 exclusive so that’s a bit of a downer. Even with that bit of news though, the game is shaping up to be awesome, finally the return of the true stealth games. Oh and just in case you thought you missed it, there is still no hard release date for Hitman: Absolution beyond the very vague 2012, but I’m sure we will get a solid date here in the next few months.
