20 Million People Building Blocks In Minecraft

The creator of PC create-em-up Minecraft, has recently announced via his Twitter feed that the game has passed through the 20 million mark of users. As well as regular players, over 4.6 million people have paid for the premium version of the game.

You too can build...a sheep.

The free version of Minecraft allows access to the classic version of the title, and to the ‘create anything’ world that it’s famous for. Paying for the full version however, gives purchasers free rein to take part in all of the games activities, including hunting and gathering fruit.

Talking about impressive figures, Markus Persson who created Minecraft said quite bizzarely: “At 4 liters per day, it would take a million years to drink 20 million liquidised humans.”

Here is a man who isn’t content in  just constructing an addictive game world that won’t allow its users access to food, drink or social niceties like washing, he also wants to liquidise, and then drink you. Thanks Magnus.
