Two New 3DS Zelda Games On The Way?

Share And Comment

I’m currently enjoying my second run through Ocarina of Time in 15 years, and loving every second of it. The 3D and enhanced graphics really bring the classic title back to life and personally I can’t wait to see more Zelda appear on the 3DS.

Certainly the rumour mill has been buzzing since Ocarina of Time 3D’s release with several comments indicating that we will see an original Zelda title next, with perhaps 3D remakes of Majora’s Mask and even A Link to the Past in the future. An image posted on website 4Chan certainly indicates that the original Zelda game is in the works right now, and in fact it may be two separate titles.

The image seems to suggest two linked games, similar to the Oracle of Ages and Oracles of Seasons for the Gameboy Color. The text below the logos has been translated as reading ‘Fire Prophecy’ and ‘Ice Prophecy’ which sounds a little Pokemon for my tastes, but there you go.

Treat these rumours as just that for the time being, but it is certainly exciting to think another new Zelda game (or two!) may not be that far away. I’m not sure I’m a fan of these ‘linked’ games and I would maybe prefer a big budget one-off adventure perhaps set in the Skyward Sword world, but perhaps E3 will bring more information.
