OK, so you are all serious about your games, we know that. You compare trophies with your buddies and it makes you feel GOOD. Levelling up in COD brings an almost narcotic feeling, and you felt all cool and multicultural when you bought Catherine. Some of you though, are even more serious. It’s you guys that Mad Catz has in their sights, and you know who you are.

First off, the fighting game fans. I confess to enjoying a bit of Marvel vs Capcom. I spent many hours on the original Soul Calibur on Dreamcast back in the day, and I’m enjoying Street Fighter IV 3D on my new 3DS. I am a long, long way from the guys who spend hours learning every single one of every single characters combo’s though, and buying a Saturn style 6 button pad is about as dedicated as I have ever got.

If you yearn for the days of showing off at arcades and bowling alleys then Mad Catz certainly seem to have the product for you though. Their officially licensed Soul Calibur V Arcade Fight Stick Soul Edition (phew!) features a quality stick and eight button combo, along with exclusive artwork from the game. The stick uses some of the same parts found in Japanese arcades and will work well with Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat and pretty much every fighting game you can think of.

Don’t worry, first person shooter lovers, Mad Catz hasn’t forgotten about you guys either. Do you find that your allegations of the infidelity of a competitors mother go unheard and lost in the general chaos of battle? Well no longer! Now every one of your intended targets will hear your abuse crystal clearly, thanks to the new Primer Wireless Stereo Headset for Xbox 360.

This impressive piece of kit features wireless tech, and separate volume switches for general music/sound effects and in-game chat. Darren Richardson of Mad Catz said that “The Primer is the third of our co-branded headsets to be released for the Xbox 360 and the first wireless product in the range. We are excited to bring passionate gamers high quality, wireless gaming.”

Both of these peripherals are available right now, so if you have any cash left from Christmas, you know where it should be heading! The Fightstick is available for 360 and PS3, with the Primer headset a Microsoft console exclusive.
