Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Season Starts Jan. 24th For Premium Elite Subscribers, Mobile Apps Too
We are nearly to the end of the year and the developers of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have decided to share some news about the premium features and season of digital content coming in 2012. They sent a note out this morning to Premium Elite members letting them know the release date for the first Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 ELITE content drop and laid out a plan for what their vision is as they look to create an incredible nine month season of new Call of Duty: MW3 content. The content season for Modern Warfare 3 will officially start Jan. 24 on XBL, but hopefully it shouldn’t be too long before us PS3 gamers can get our hands on it. Since all premium members are paying $50 a year, I feel some kind of way about PS3 gamers having to still wait but I know that is just the result of the deal that Activision has with Microsoft. This should be the first of a great year for Elite subscribers especially premium ones as they will be getting content drops EVERY month in the form of new maps, collections and even spec ops missions. If you are like me you are wondering how in the world they will be able to keep up with their promises of this much content. Apparently, it’s not that hard when you have 3 different developers working on it and that is just what they have with content being provided by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer and Raven. Call Of Duty: Elite has had its share of issues but it seems like they are really bringing it together now.
We also found out that the Call Of Duty: Elite mobile apps for about iOS and Android will finally debut in January. We were beginning to think that Activision would never deliver on the promise of Elite on the go. The mobile app lets you track your challenges, check your stats, and push your loadouts to Call of Duty: MW3 from anywhere you have a signal, that means on the bus on the way home or while you’re at the library “studying”.
