Tired Of The iPhone? Confused With Android? Nokia Thinks You’re Already Trying Something New With Windows
Some of you may think that that title is a joke, but it’s exactly how Nokia thinks you are behaving. In layman terms, the iPhone is dull and everyone has them, and Android is not only complex, but a security risk. Here’s how Niels Munksgaard, director of Portfolio, Product Marketing & Sales at Nokia Entertainment Global explained to Pocket-Lint: “What we see is that youth are pretty much fed up with iPhones. Everyone has the iPhone. Also, many are not happy with the complexity of Android and the lack of security. So we do increasing see that the youth that wants to be on the cutting edge and try something new are turning to the Windows phone platform.”
Could this guy already be seeing something that we aren’t? Are the numbers showing this? Or is he nuts? We can’t say for sure. Surely he is not referring to the 1% increase Windows Phone 7 has had year over year, which is from 1% to 2%. Again, we don’t know about the numbers. However, I could slightly agree that the iPhone is becoming too common and that Android is more complex than some of the other platforms.
All in all, it’s more about what you’re doing and what your future plans are. So tell us! Is Nokia accurate?
