So it seems so long since Heavy Rain permanently changed how emotionally attached we thought we could become to characters in a video game. Heavy Rain was one of the biggest risk in gaming history, it was completely new type of game that not everyone was completely sure would work. It turned to be a surprise commercial hit and didn’t do too bad with the critics either. Today, Quantic Dream decided that they were going to extend the Heavy Rain train just a bit longer. Quantic Dream has revealed some very interesting stats in an infographic to IGN that reveals some pretty interesting factoids.
For instance, did you know that 95% of folks won the first action sequence in the game? How about that fact that almost three-quarters of the people who played the game actually finished it? An impressive 65% of you managed to save Shaun which is good. On the disappointing front, only 33% of you managed to keep every character alive which makes me really impressed that I was able to pull it off in my playthrough. Only 4% of you have seen every ending the game but since there were so many we don’t blame you for that one. The biggest disappointment of players of Heavy Rain was that it seemed that it was too much for even trophy whores to handle with only 3% of players earning the platinum trophy.
Another interesting factoid that seems to show that the game was passed around quite a bit was the fact that over 3 million people have played the game but not necessarily bought it. Well that its folks, that’s all the interesting Heavy Rain factoids we have for you today.
