So before you smack your head against the wall and pull your hair out just hear us out. Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed to IGN that Gran Turismo 6 is already in development. We already know what you are going to say and we agree with you, it took a very, very, very long time for Gran Turismo 5 to come out (5 years to be exact) and if that was any indication then Gran Turismo may not come out this gen.
“Of course we’re working on [Gran Turismo 6] already,” Yamauchi said. “I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6.” Yamauchi offered no additional details on the title, nor did he indicate when it would see release. On a good note though, last year’s Gran Turismo 5 just received a 2.0 update, and more downloadable content is on the way. In fact, Yamauchi said that expansions for the current game can be expected every “two months or so.” So let the conversation begin, do you think that Gran Turismo 6 sees the light of day this gen? Are you at GT fan that got so frustrated with the wait that you became a Forza fan? Any hopes on what that “separating factor” he mentioned could be? Let us know in the comments.
