Dark Souls Moves 1.5 Million Copies Worldwide

Dark Souls seems to be garnering the same level of support as its “spiritual” predecessor, Demon’s Souls. The folks at From Software definitely didn’t take it easy on players in this second title and it looks like gamers have responded. According to From Software, they have shipped 1.5 million copies of the game  worldwide since its release. As always we have to note that this is units “shipped” and not necessarily sold but this is always a good indicator since it means that the stores are moving the copies they have in stock and are requesting more. Interestingly, it seems that North American gamers are the biggest gluttons for punishment with more than half of the shipments coming this way, followed fairly Europe and then Japan. This is good news but we will have wait to see the NPD numbers to get a real sense of how well the game is doing?

Can From Software do it again, guess we will just have to wait and see.
