Remember Ghost Recon? All those hours of screaming out the name of Tom Clancy and Red Storm Entertainment in vain after hours of complicated, yet incredibly well detailed, covert actions? No? Fine, well I do and I’m actually looking forward to seeing if this otherwise embattled franchise can finally find it’s sweet spot with Ghost Recon:Future Soldier and deliver us another awesome Clancy title like the Rainbow 6 Vegas series. (Seriously, if you enjoy realism based shooters Clancy and Red Storm have your hook up. For the rest of you haters: It’s hard because you actually have to use cover, communicate, and work as a team. Scary I know..) So, where was I…Right, Future Soldier. Ubisoft, via GameSpot, has officially confirmed that March 6, 2012 is release day. (..and there was much rejoicing..yay.)
If that wasn’t enough to get you to lean forward a little bit in your chair, then how about a really awesome preview of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer? Ask, and you shall receive my friends:
…did he just say ‘reward teamwork’?…interesting…
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is in development for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, and DS and as mentioned above, will drop early March in 2012. Stay plugged in to ZKG for updates as I am sure more awesomeness is coming our way on this title. Stay frosty FPS fans, it’s looking like an intense next six months!
I started my gaming career when my parents first bought me a Tandy 1000 computer, top of the line stuff, and I played through visual basic games. As I grew older and technology came with me, I graduated onto the likes of Duke Nukem 3D and Grand Theft Auto (You know the 2D, top down version..epic.) My friends and I would tie up the house phone line blasting at one another via 9600 baud modems. This was the beginning of the end people: NES, Super NES, N64, Playstation, Xbox, Playstation 2, Xbox 360 and Kinect, Wii, Playstation 3 and of course my trusty PC when ever else I got bored. From there the online gaming world took off and I too followed it being clan based throughout college on multiple platforms and games alike. Today I find myself playing across all platforms and loving every minute of it. To think, from green screen to high def and nearly 20 years of advancement, only to know that this gets better every day.
