Ninja Theory Confirms We Shouldn’t Expect A Enslaved 2 Anytime Soon

Sad news for Monkey and crew, Ninja Theory has confirmed that Enslaved 2 isn’t happening anytime soon. The news comes courtesy of an interview with one of Ninja Theory’s co-founders Tameem Antoniades in an interview in the latest Edge. He admitted the Namco Bandai title should’ve performed better at retail, though he’s glad the studio has “another chance” with its take on Capcom’s Devil May Cry. “Enslaved should have done better,” he told Edge. “Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time.

We reviewed Enslaved here a while back and while it didn’t blow our mind it was a very solid title, we have definitely seen much worse game’s get sequels, can anybody say Army Of Two? Unfortunately, the game bombed at retail having sold only 730K units as of May 2011. I suppose the good thing is that they aren’t ruling out a sequel but one thing we know for sure is that we won’t be seeing a follow-up anytime soon.
