Verizon Wireless customers know too well how it feels to be shut out of an iPhone launch. Up until this year, it was perhaps the most requested and admired phones of Big Red customers. With every new launch of the iPhone, rumors and speculation about carriers without the iPhone actually having it on their network exist. Reports have pretty much confirmed that Sprint will carry the iPhone 5, and AT&T and Verizon Wireless are already carriers so we know they will have it. However, while rumors gave T-Mobile a chance for the next iPhone, it appears that they won’t get the iPhone 5 “this year” after all.
So where is the new tidbit of information coming from? T-Mobile’s chief marketing officer Cole Brodman. Brodman simply states, “We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year.” Pretty straightforward in my opinion.
But Mr. Brodman, what does that really mean? Could T-Mobile launch the iPhone 4S/iPhone 4 Plus? Better yet, could they launch the iPhone 5 as Verizon launched the iPhone 4 months after AT&T. Too much to speculate on … we know! Either way, if this note by Brodman is accurate, T-Mobile will not have the iPhone 5 this year. Feel any particular way about this? Will your plan change? Let us know!
